Ellie Stevenson was born in Oxford and grew up in Australia. She has a degree in economic history and two professional qualifications.
Having worked as a careers adviser, academic librarian and web editor (not all at once) Ellie now writes articles for magazines and websites, mainly on history, careers and the arts.
Ellie's first published piece was a poem in an Australian state newspaper, at the age of ten.
In 2009 she was commended for her entry in the Aesthetica Creative Works competition (fiction).
